The development of transport corridors is dictated by the expansion of economic ties with Asia-Pacific countries. The reconstruction of border crossings is carried out within the framework of state programs of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. At the same time, there is now a need to organize warehouses and trade services in areas adjacent to checkpoints so that the growing flow of goods generates more added value, noted the head of the Ministry of Eastern Development Alexey Chekunkov.

Currently, as part of the development of the entire transport and logistics industry in the Far East, 485 investment projects are being implemented with a total volume of 893 billion rubles. Of these, 284 billion rubles have already been invested. At the same time, 80% of projects are implemented in border areas, A. Chekunkov clarified. Let us add that in 2023, the cargo turnover of road checkpoints in the Far Eastern Federal District increased by 115%, and railway checkpoints by 30%. Container turnover increased by 22%.
